Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field and 5 years of relevant professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Masters degree and 3 years, OR a Ph.D. and 1 year
- Demonstrated experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably within the aerospace or defense sector
- Proficiency in simulation software such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools; familiarity with C/C++ or Python for algorithm development is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting intricate data and generating actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
- Capability to collaborate in a team setting and actively contribute to cross-functional initiatives
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work, emphasizing quality and dependability
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving project demands and thrive in a dynamic environment
- Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Woodland Hills, California
Responsibilities
- Design and create complex models and simulations for inertial navigation systems to forecast system performance and support design choices
- Perform in-depth analysis of system performance using simulation tools to pinpoint potential enhancements and guarantee requirement fulfillment
- Develop and implement algorithms for inertial navigation systems, ensuring compliance with performance and reliability benchmarks
- Analyze simulation data to validate models and algorithms, offering insights into system functionality under varying conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to incorporate models and simulations into broader system architectures and engage in system testing and validation
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to effectively communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and apply them to enhance existing systems
- Work closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration of models with overall system design
