Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution plus 2 years of related experience OR Masters Degree with no experience. - For the Principal Systems Architect role, Bachelors Degree with 5 years of related experience OR Masters Degree with 3 years of experience OR PhD with 1 year of experience. - Must possess an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval. - Proficient in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with experience implementing system architecture definitions using UPDM and/or SysML in MBSE tools like Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, CORE, etc. - Preferred experience with MagicDraw / Cameo EA and DOORS requirements management tool. - Experience in developing interface control documents (ICDs) and defining interfaces in an MBSE setting. - Familiarity with Agile team practices. - Understanding GN&C algorithms and flight-critical software development. - Knowledge in specialty areas including nuclear surety, cybersecurity, and flight safety. - Basic understanding of control system theory and design principles for vehicle management systems/guidance systems. - Relevant work experience in disciplines such as guidance & control systems, inertial sensors, navigation, or vehicle management systems.

Responsibilities

- Participate in the evolution of GN&C Software Systems Engineering products from Preliminary Design phase to Critical Design Review and beyond. - Utilize a fully integrated Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach in Systems Engineering activities. - Ensure the execution and quality assurance of GN&C Software engineering products, aligning them with parent guidance systems. - Act as the liaison with various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). - Mature GN&C Software unit requirement specifications and interface control documents (ICDs). - Define architecture and ensure integration of GN&C Software requirements, interfaces, and designs both vertically and horizontally. - Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic working environment. - Travel approximately 10% to relevant sites as required.
