Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 8+ years of software-related experience
- OR Masters degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of software-related experience
- Background in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, and embedded software development
- High proficiency in technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis and solution implementation
- Proven leadership experience in software engineering or systems engineering, preferably in Space Flight or Simulation Software
- Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships to align with other disciplines and program management
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required (citizenship is mandatory)
- Preferred: Significant technical management experience with teams exceeding 15 members
- Preferred: Familiarity with Earned Value Management and engineering metrics
- Preferred: Experience in software and hardware integration for space applications
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with spacecraft or satellite systems
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage embedded software personnel, providing direction aligned with management guidelines
- Address cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality on large system contracts
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Directly oversee and manage specific program segments or functional responsibilities
- Conduct briefings and participate in meetings for internal and external stakeholders
- Interact frequently with both internal personnel and external customer representatives
- Interpret and execute policies affecting team effectiveness and morale
- Recommend modifications to improve operational policies
- Act as an advisor to team members regarding tasks and operational concerns
