Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience - OR - Masters degree with no prior professional experience.
- No security clearance necessary to commence employment.
- For Level 3: Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience - OR - Masters degree with 3 years of experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of experience.
- At least 3-5 years of practical experience in analog and digital electronics design, microcontrollers, power electronics, and printed wiring boards or circuit card assemblies.
- Proven ability in programming with Python.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage and excel in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills for collaborative work within a development team.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, equipment racks, circuit board assemblies, and cable assemblies as well as test equipment.
- Create design documentation using KiCad, Visio, and other legacy tools as needed.
- Specify and select components for use in electrical devices.
- Develop and test control software using Python.
- Offer engineering support for laser system projects.
- Provide assistance for fielded products and support to the electronics production team.
