Must:
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Over 3 years of technical experience with hardware and software.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with both Windows and virtualized environments.
- Proficiency in using an IT Service Management (ITSM) system for change and incident management.
- Microsoft training and related certifications are beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service abilities.
- Capability to work flexible hours or participate in on-call duties when necessary.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with remote team members as needed.
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Specialist I at Northeast Paving, I will be responsible for:
- Timely creation, review, and management of Tier 1-2 support tickets.
- Project involvement related to the implementation of new technology tools.
- Providing desktop support to end users, either remotely or in person.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with users to comprehend their issues, keep them informed about ticket statuses, and ensure their concerns are resolved swiftly.
- Installing and configuring new computers, monitors, and printers.
- Assisting with system administration tasks such as server upgrades, updates, patches, deployments, and architecture reviews while adhering to best practices.
- Creating clear and concise documentation, including process and system diagrams.
- Collaborating with vendors for software and firmware upgrades.
- Attending meetings as needed and providing regular updates to project participants and department leadership, while following management direction and policy guidelines.
- Assisting with various projects and tasks as required, as well as identifying issues that need escalated support and routing them to the proper team or leadership.
- Recognizing recurring or unique issues, developing solutions, and ensuring their effective implementation.
- Documenting and updating records for identified problems, solutions, and procedures.
- Training and mentoring junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Actively engaging in team meetings and feedback sessions.
