Must:
We invite applicants who possess a master’s degree or have substantial industry experience in computing. It is preferred that candidates have experience in teaching at the college level.
Responsibilities
Our Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking part-time adjunct instructors for the upcoming Spring semester 2024 (from January 8th to May 1st). We are looking for educators to teach the following courses:
- Object-oriented Programming (C++) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:45 PM to 3:20 PM
- Introduction to Programming (Python) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:20 PM to 2:25 PM
- Computer and Network Security on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 9:35 AM
- Intro to Website Development (HTML & CSS) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 PM to 5:35 PM
Additionally, we seek instructors interested in potentially teaching the following courses on an ongoing basis:
- Data Structures (Java)
- Computer Architecture / Assembly Programming
- Discrete Mathematics
- Database Systems Design / Programming
- Data Mining / Machine Learning
- Mobile App Development
- Linux Programming
- Web Programming
- MS Excel and Intro to Data Analysis

Founded in 1861, North Central College is a well-regarded institution with approximately 3,000 students located in Naperville, IL, a vibrant suburb just west of Chicago. We are experiencing growth with our recent $60 million Science Center (opened in 2017) and a new Health Sciences and Engineering building (opened in 2020).
