Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Training or certification in specific IT products or services as necessary
- Proficient in maintaining SQL Server tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) while implementing Azure cloud solutions
- Advanced expertise in SSIS and T-SQL
- Strong skills in Azure Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake) and Azure Synapse
- Extensive experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and a commitment to transitioning workflows to Git/Azure DevOps
- Mastery in SQL and Python (PySpark)
- 6-10 years of experience in leading advanced technology projects or service initiatives
- 6-10 years in full system engineering lifecycle
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging
- Significant experience with Medicaid/Medicare data structures (e.g., MMIS, EDI 837/835, claims processing)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks Certified Professional Data Engineer
- Experience in governmental or highly regulated settings
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of advanced technologies or platforms
- Serve as an expert on the functionalities of specific systems, platforms, or technologies
- Provide consulting services to clients for the efficient adoption of particular IT products or platforms
- Develop implementation, testing, and integration plans
- Demonstrate expertise in IT platforms or services to optimize IT investments
- Manage the maintenance and operational excellence of existing Medicaid reporting systems
- Facilitate cloud development and migration efforts, including pipeline refactoring
- Ensure the integration of governance and security measures compliant with regulatory standards
Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC, as part of our data modernization initiatives for the Medicaid data ecosystem. This hybrid position offers flexibility for in-person or webcam interviews. You will play a vital role in maintaining our legacy systems while driving cloud innovations.
