Requirements
Must:
- Multiple end-to-end SAP CAR implementations in retail, covering AMR and at least one of OAA, MPR, PMR
- Extensive experience in creating cluster-based allocation rules and managing crossdock flows
- In-depth knowledge of pre-pack versus unit-level goods receipt processing in CAR and S/4
- Proficient in configuring CAR allocations and integration points with S/4HANA
- Demonstrated expertise acting as the primary solution lead with both strategic and execution responsibilities
- Strong communication abilities and capacity to influence senior business and IT stakeholders
- Familiarity with integrating CAR alongside barcode/scanning technologies and 3PL operations
- Experience in migrating retail planning systems, such as Island Pacific
Responsibilities
- Serve as the overall solution lead for SAP CAR design, configuration, and implementation
- Develop automated allocation logic utilizing cluster-based rules in AMR and relevant modules
- Align the CAR allocation design with business processes for vendor > 3PL crossdock > store transactions
- Configure CAR to facilitate pre-pack level allocation with unit-level goods receipt in S/4
- Integrate CAR with S/4HANA using SLT and DFROUT to ensure accuracy of allocation tables
- Lead solution workshops, showcasing system capabilities, and steering design decisions
- Collaborate with partner SI resources while ensuring overall functional success
- Ensure the allocation solution produces necessary reporting outputs for the planning team
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover preparations, and post-go-live support for allocation processes

We are a leading U.S. retailer embarking on a transformative SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) implementation, aimed at enhancing our inventory allocation processes across over 150 stores. This initiative will replace an outdated retail planning system, incorporating CAR modules for Omnichannel Article Availability, Merchandise & Procurement, Allocation Management for Retail, and Promotion Management for Retail. Our team is seeking an experienced professional who can take charge of the CAR allocation solution, driving automations that minimize manual tasks through innovative methods like barcode scanning. The role requires a candidate who is ready to take on significant responsibility in an impactful project.
