Requirements
Must:
- Active Department of Defense Top Secret level security clearance is mandatory.
- DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications are required.
- Travel may be required up to 5%.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with large network infrastructures is essential.
- Proficient knowledge of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and VPN devices is necessary.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP principles, including routing and subnetting, is vital.
- Familiarity with Network protocols and services, such as SD-WAN, troubleshooting IPSec tunnels, OSPF, BGP, Access Control Lists, Layer 2 Switching, and Packet Analysis is crucial.
- Experience with Arista switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and network visibility tools (e.g., Gigamon, NetScout) would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Incident Response: Swiftly identify, assess, and resolve outages, examining symptoms and possible root causes to provide appropriate solutions or escalate to Tier 3 support when necessary.
- Performance Monitoring: Employ sophisticated monitoring tools to manage the network infrastructure and guarantee its optimal functioning.
- Communication & Collaboration: Deliver clear, professional written communications to both customers and operations teams, converting technical information into actionable insights.
- Device Maintenance: Verify and update Firewall rules, apply patches and software updates as required, and ensure device configurations and documentation are maintained accurately.
