Requirements
Must:
- 1+ year of professional software development experience
- Strong foundation in JavaScript, CSS, and React
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (bootcamp, coding academy, etc.)
- Available to meet locally in the greater Boston area
- Preferred: Experience with Next.js and Node.js
- Preferred: Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Preferred: Familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools
- Bonus Points: Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway
- Bonus Points: Experience with SQL (Postgres) and/or NoSQL databases
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with Azure Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, or RMM tools
- Bonus Points: Previous experience in IT support or helpdesk roles
Responsibilities
- Devote approximately 70% of your time to software development and 30% to IT support
- Develop features and small applications within our Next.js environment
- Create internal tools that enhance workflows, reporting, and overall efficiency
- Integrate third-party platforms and APIs, including our internal accounting systems like Entrata/Wave
- Contribute to our cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS serverless services
- Write clean and maintainable full-stack code
- Utilize AI tools such as Cursor and Claude to enhance productivity while coding independently
- Participate in code reviews, manage deployments, and troubleshoot production issues
- Maintain our databases and assist in power reporting through BI integrations
- Stay updated on framework enhancements and assist in rolling out improvements as necessary
- Address support requests including access issues, connectivity problems, and device troubleshooting
- Create and manage user accounts for new properties and team members
- Set up and configure laptops, phones, printers, and other necessary equipment
- Support a secure, remote-first working environment
- Help standardize systems and documentation as the company scales
