Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or similar)
- Proficiency in agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI
- Strong understanding of data fundamentals: SQL, Supabase/Postgres, ETL pipelines
- Capability to manage the complete stack — from raw financial data to deployed agent
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex back-office operations into AI logic and present insights clearly to ownership
- Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, owner-operated business environment
- Nice to Have: Background in accounting or finance operations
- Experience in developing AI tools for non-technical users like bookkeepers and office administrators
- Familiarity with Next.js and TypeScript
- Experience with document processing automation or OCR tools for invoice and PO extraction
- Comfortable presenting insights and recommendations directly to ownership and senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Design and create AI agents to automate and enhance back-office processes such as AP coding, invoice processing, AR follow-up, job cost allocation, and reporting
- Integrate AI solutions into our accounting systems and internal platforms (Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft CRM, field service software, and related tools)
- Develop user-friendly, practical tools for our accounting and operations teams
- Train and assist staff in adopting AI solutions in their daily tasks
- Continuously improve based on operational feedback from finance, field, and ownership
- Review and cleanse our operational and financial datasets across all locations and service lines
- Establish a structured data framework that agents can reliably query — job costs, revenue by division, AR aging, PM contract status
- Identify trends that enhance billing accuracy, collections effectiveness, and cash flow visibility
- Determine additional data we should be capturing across field operations, PM contracts, and vendor management
- Create dashboards and management summaries for internal stakeholders, including ownership and location managers

Our business encompasses commercial HVAC service, construction, preventive maintenance contracts, and compressed air solutions, managing over $15M in annual revenue across regions like Charleston, Charlotte, Greenville, Columbia, and Hickory.
