Requirements
Must:
- I have 5+ years of experience in commercial security systems, including support, programming, installation, and servicing large complex Software House access control (ACS), ExacqVision or Genetec video management systems (VMS), and DSC intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- I possess technical expertise in the design, documentation, and integration of commercial security systems, and I can serve as a technical resource for resolving system errors and failures.
- I understand IT project processes, language, and structure for effective project management support.
- I have preferred training on systems such as CCURE 9000, ExacqVision, Genetec, DSC, VMS systems, or other camera technologies, network, and/or software architecture.
- I maintain knowledge of project management principles and can serve as a source of technical knowledge for my area of expertise.
- I demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of the organization's business practices.
- I have an understanding of network layouts and concepts, with relevant certification preferred.
- I am available to be on-call to troubleshoot emergency security systems issues and manage the response plan.
- I possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel between facilities in New England and am open to some travel to New Balance locations within the United States for project support.
Responsibilities
- I assist in providing excellent customer service to internal and external New Balance customers.
- I help project managers conduct site assessments, identify risks, design solutions, prepare construction documents, manage bids, coordinate installation, and conduct acceptance testing.
- I monitor the health of security equipment, assist in analyzing service issues, recommend solutions, and coordinate service and repair.
- I maintain the performance and integrity of all security systems applications while tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators.
- I actively seek knowledge and training on current and new technologies and features, ensuring all security systems are kept up to date with industry best practices.
- I help maintain training materials for users of security applications.
- I represent the Loss Prevention department as a physical security systems technology resource in meetings with internal and external customers, providing solutions for their business needs.
