We are looking for a candidate with a proven history of success in at least three consecutive positions related to this role, ideally with over three years of experience in each. You should exhibit substantial expertise across infrastructure, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and cloud technologies. A strong leadership presence and the capability to influence technical strategy are vital. The ideal candidate will be adept at asking insightful questions to uncover client needs and provide tailored solutions. Comfort in a dynamic and flexible work environment, with autonomy and accountability, is essential. Experience in designing and scaling hybrid environments, including host characteristics and resource planning, is also preferred.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer with us, you will design and implement Azure services, including SQL, single sign-on (SSO), Office 365 security, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) access. You will manage Microsoft Intune deployments, device management, and configure Teams Phone setups, including call plans and routing. You will oversee migrating Office 365, ensuring proper tenant setup and conditional access configuration. Additionally, you will expand VMware clusters, focusing on host sizing, resource allocation, and hybrid infrastructure planning. Engaging directly with clients to identify their needs, proposing effective solutions, and generating interest in our services will be a key part of your role. You’ll also collaborate with our internal helpdesk and technical teams, and occasionally handle escalated tickets while operating with minimal supervision in a problem-solving environment.
Description
This position typically operates at client sites in the Greater Sacramento Area with limited oversight and requires the ability to work independently while having access to all necessary company resources. It is a primarily client-facing role and requires a minimum of five years of recent, hands-on experience in a similar capacity. The salary for this role ranges from $125,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually. Our benefits include a 401(k) with matching, dental and health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
