Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You should have at least 10 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 4 years in managing high-performing teams. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling are essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies (like Hadoop or Spark) is required. Additionally, experience with ETL tools and orchestrating data pipelines (like Airflow) is important. Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (such as Snowflake or Redshift) and real-time data processing platforms (like Kafka) is preferred. We are also looking for strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, a solid understanding of SaaS or data-as-a-service business models, and excellent communication, strategic thinking, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
As our Director of Data Engineering, you will be responsible for defining and leading the data engineering roadmap in line with our business and technology objectives for the Keystone business unit. You will champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by promoting best practices in data engineering, governance, and infrastructure throughout Keystone. Your role will involve guiding the design and evolution of secure and scalable data platforms, overseeing the optimization of ETL/ELT processes, data models, and quality frameworks. You will also own the operation and performance of all data systems, ensuring they are reliable and resilient. Collaboration will be key as you work with product, engineering, AI, and business teams to support the entire data lifecycle. Furthermore, you will build, mentor, and retain a team of data engineers, analysts, and architects, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Finally, you will establish data governance policies to maintain a unified source of truth for all critical business metrics.
