- You must support development and testing activities that involve multiple dependencies.

- You should have a strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming best practices.
- Experience in all phases of product development is necessary, including definition, design, implementation, testing, and support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Collaborating with engineers to meet goals and quality standards is important.
- An aptitude for quickly learning new technologies with architect guidance is essential.
- Creativity in problem-solving is a must.
- Experience leading critical or high-visibility customer support engagements is favorable.
Responsibilities
- As a Principal Software Engineer on the Core Software and Data Management team, I will focus on delivering solutions that align with customers' needs across engineered systems and cloud services.
- I'll be responsible for various functions within ONTAP, our cross-platform data management and storage software.
- My role will include aspects of ONTAP filesystem management, anti-ransomware and encryption capabilities, and core quality assurance features.
- I will contribute to the Research and Development function, focusing on competitive market and customer requirements, supportability, advancements in technology, product quality, costs, and time-to-market.
- My work will encompass enhancing existing products as well as developing new products.
- This position requires me to be broad-thinking, systems-oriented, creative, team-focused, technologically astute, capable of leading large cross-functional teams, and highly motivated to achieve results.
