Must:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, with 8-12 years preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ development in LINUX/UNIX environments.
- A strong understanding of operating systems, data access protocols, data storage systems, cloud technology, and Kubernetes.
- A proven ability to troubleshoot complex inter-system issues and lead root cause investigations.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, and multi-threaded programming is highly preferred.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with fellow engineers.
- Familiarity with storage or cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer in the storage and backup domain, I will be responsible for:
- Defining and advancing interoperability strategies.
- Leading design reviews to ensure storage features comply with protocols.
- Owning the technical roadmap for interoperability features and enhancements.
- Addressing and resolving intricate interoperation-related issues, including protocol discrepancies, data input-output errors, and integration challenges.
- Collaborating with product managers, quality assurance teams, and external vendors to align on interoperability objectives.
- Representing my team in technical governance forums and architecture councils.
