Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with the STM32 family of microcontrollers, including bare metal and RTOS application development
- Strong skills in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
- Extensive knowledge of embedded Linux environments
- Basic experience with FPGA technology
- Familiarity with various peripherals and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UARTs, DMA pipelines, ADC/DAC operation, and interrupts
- Comfortable using hardware and software tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD Debuggers
- Understanding of camera interfaces, video formats, and compression standards
- Experience using Git and understanding development workflows
- Knowledge or enthusiasm for FPV drones or UAV technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical details to executive stakeholders clearly and effectively
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and flight teams to translate mission requirements into feasible production features
- Aid in the design of hardware architectures critical to Neros peripheral systems
- Develop, modify, and take ownership of embedded firmware for various peripheral systems, including headsets and handsets
- Work with FPGA, MCU, and/or embedded Linux systems to execute video conversions, corrections, storage, compression, overlays, streaming, and other functionalities
