We are looking for a Tier 1 / Help Desk / Service Desk Technician with a minimum of 1 year of MSP experience supporting various client environments. Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 10/11 are essential, along with some familiarity with macOS. Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide Tier 1 technical support through tickets, phone calls, and email in an MSP environment. You will triage, troubleshoot, and resolve common end-user issues (Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, connectivity, VPN). Youll work in a ticketing system (PSA), following SLAs, documenting your work, the time spent, and resolution details. Using remote support tools, you will diagnose and resolve issues quickly and professionally. You are expected to escalate to Tier 2 with complete notes, including symptoms, the scope of the issue, steps taken, results, and any relevant screenshots or logs. Additionally, you will contribute to documentation and knowledge base articles based on resolved issues and support occasional onsite visits for workstation, printer, or network-related troubleshooting.

Description

We envision success in this position as providing fast and professional first responses, maintaining consistent ticket updates, producing high-quality documentation to facilitate escalation, reliably resolving common Tier 1 issues, and exercising clear judgment in escalations. As part of our team, you will enjoy: - Discretionary Time Off after 90 days, with 5 sick leave days annually. - A 401(K) Match where we match your contributions 100% up to 4% of your salary each year. - Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance. - A set schedule, working Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. While occasional emergencies or projects may require you to work later or on a Saturday, we believe that IT work doesn’t need to exceed 50 hours a week to be done effectively. - Remote work, with regular weekly lunch meetings, although your job will primarily be work-from-home unless there are onsite appointments. If you are excited about this opportunity, please submit your resume and answer these questions: 1. Are you located in the Austin area and able to do occasional onsite visits? 2. What are your top three most common Tier 1 fixes in an MSP? 3. Which PSA/RMM/remote support tools have you utilized? *Nerds in a Flash is an Equal Opportunity Employer.*
