Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in network security engineering with a focus on Palo Alto design and architecture
- Strong understanding of network security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27000
- Expertise in Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Fortinet
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Zscaler, and Carbon Black
- Skills in network management including VLAN, OSPF, and BGP
- Familiarity with incident detection and response procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a datacenter environment
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation
- Knowledge of vulnerability management frameworks and assessment tools
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and Google Cloud
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement extensive network security strategies to safeguard organizational assets
- Configure and oversee network security devices including firewalls and IDS/IPS systems
- Conduct detailed vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various infrastructures
- Monitor network traffic and suspicious activities using SIEM tools
- Employ system hardening techniques on various operating systems
- Manage encryption methods to secure data across different platforms
- Lead incident response efforts and disaster recovery initiatives in compliance with FISMA and FedRAMP
- Analyze network traffic and conduct forensic investigations
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards such as PCI DSS and ITIL frameworks
