Requirements

Must:
- Must be able to work onsite at the specified location (no remote work allowed) - Candidates may need to travel to other operational offices or areas - Candidates might need to work a flexible schedule with a maximum of 37.5 hours per week for 48 weeks per year - Possess strong communication abilities - At least 3 years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS, ideally including ArcGIS Pro and related add-ons - Solid understanding of GIS principles and mapping techniques - A minimum of 2 years of experience with large GIS data ETL operations (extract, transform, load) and georeferencing tasks - Background in developing GIS applications utilizing REST API and other ArcGIS protocols (e.g., StoryMaps) - Familiarity with various mapping file formats (including CAD, BIM, Google KML/KMZ) - Proficiency in SQL and other geospatial analysis and querying skills - Effective communication skills and basic knowledge of MS Office (including Visio) and design diagram creation.

Responsibilities

- Catalog and classify agency-wide GIS data - Work collaboratively with the agency GIS team to gather and validate mapping completeness - Collect current camera location data (latitude/longitude or other references) and integrate them into the GIS dataset - Execute georeferenced workflows to integrate non-GIS drawings, such as floor plans and as-builts, into geospatial systems - Register and document the GIS dataset, including camera locations, creating a GIS data warehouse linked to the Enterprise Video Management System via each cameras unique ID - Collaborate with security end users to understand their mapping requirements and support the GIS incident tracking dashboard, along with UAS airspace management mapping needs.

We are seeking a motivated GIS Developer to enhance our GIS data capabilities by integrating drawings, maps, and various data sources to accurately locate agency security camera assets. This role aims to foster a GIS-supported environment that aids in displaying the enterprise video management system, allowing users to swiftly identify camera locations based on entity and place names, such as bus stops or subway platforms. Additionally, you will support various geospatial projects including the creation of a comprehensive all-agency GIS map for security assets, contributing to incident dashboards and business intelligence data fusion efforts.
