Requirements

Must:
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) - Proven hands-on experience in building and managing Microsoft Copilot Studio agents - Strong knowledge of enterprise security, governance, and compliance protocols - Experience in government, public sector, or other highly regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, education) - Ability to effectively document solutions for audits, compliance checks, and operational support - Familiarity with extending or governing Microsoft 365 Copilot in an enterprise context (preferred) - Understanding of records management, data classification, and privacy regulations (preferred) - Knowledge of accessibility standards, risk management practices, and public-sector technology norms (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and implement Microsoft Copilot Studio agents for internal government applications including knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and decision support - Integrate Copilot agents seamlessly with Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and other approved enterprise connectors - Configure agent topics, actions, and knowledge sources ensuring responses are accurate, traceable, and suitable for regulated settings - Facilitate pilot-to-production transitions adhering to controlled rollout and approval protocols - Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to uphold Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, environment isolation, and role-based access controls for Copilot Studio solutions - Ensure all Copilot agents are compliant with state IT policies, data classification standards, privacy regulations, and records retention rules - Work alongside security, legal, accessibility, and compliance teams to resolve audit findings and risk assessments - Make certain that Copilot solutions meet accessibility (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and public-sector usability requirements when necessary - Define secure architectural frameworks for Copilot Studio in alignment with enterprise Power Platform and AI governance guidelines - Develop standards for agent design, naming conventions, documentation, and supportability - Mentor junior engineers and designated creators on Copilot Studio best practices within a controlled governance structure - Act as a subject-matter expert regarding Copilot Studio functionalities, constraints, and roadmap considerations in regulated contexts - Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) procedures for Copilot Studio, including environment strategy (DEV / TEST / PROD), solution packaging, and deployment pipelines - Monitor the usage, performance, and reliability of Copilot solutions; troubleshoot issues and enhance agent behavior - Maintain essential technical documentation, runbooks, and operational support artifacts necessary for audits and long-term sustainability - Support incident response and analyze root causes concerning Copilot or automation failures - Convert agency or program requirements into compliant Copilot solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery - Collaborate with business owners to discover high-value, low-risk AI opportunities suitable for state government implementation - Provide insights, demonstrations, and technical evaluations for stakeholders, governance boards, and leadership as required

We are Neos, seeking to engage a Sr. Power Platform Copilot Engineer Architect for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position, and we will only consider candidates based in the Austin area. Our ideal candidate is an expert applications architect who will design, implement, and oversee the deployment of enterprise-grade AI agents in state government or regulated settings.
