Requirements
Must:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in IT procurement within the State of Texas
- 5 - 7 years of expertise in gathering requirements and guiding SMEs in identifying needs
- 5 - 7 years of experience collaborating across various IT functions
- 5 - 7 years of proficiency in documentation writing
- Familiarity with the contracting and procurement rules and regulations of the State of Texas
Responsibilities
- Review and edit requirements documents, including statements of work
- Provide guidance to IT Business Area SMEs and Demand team members on best practices and standards from the VMSC team
- Engage in vendor outreach for software solution requests, addressing inquiries, and coordinating responses from TxDOT to vendors
- Collect and relay vendor solution responses to review teams and assess the overall ranking of these responses
- Upon solution response approval, create and circulate work orders for dual signatures, communicating results to the selected vendor and notifying other vendors of their non-selection
- Support the solicitation process for replacement contracts, including document revisions and transition/disentanglement activities alongside the primary Vendor Manager
- Assist in developing new edits for replacement contract documentation as necessary
