Requirements
Must:
- 11 years of relevant experience in clinical workflows and healthcare operations
- Proven expertise in supporting large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, or optimization projects
- Ability to effectively translate clinical requirements into technical and data specifications
- Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Cerner Command Language (CCL)
- Familiarity with Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle databases
- Skilled in SQL, Linux, and enterprise data extraction or migration techniques
- Experience designing and implementing ETL processes
- Understanding of healthcare data integrations and reporting environments
- Proficiency in REST / SOA development
- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance optimization
- Competence in writing, executing, and fine-tuning CCL scripts in production scenarios
- Background in data extraction, system integration, and code development
- Familiar with one or more programming languages: Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, OCI
- Hands-on experience in developing or supporting services on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OCI)
- Preferred experience in supporting Cerner Millennium environments
- Preferred prior role as a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate translation of clinical workflow intent and operational needs into CCL logic, data extracts, and analytics solutions
- Collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, informatics governance bodies, and technical delivery teams to support EHR modernization and data migration
- Assist in reporting and legacy system retirement initiatives
- Adhere to HHSC guidelines, policies, and standards in all work activities
- Participate in the design and implementation of reports and dashboards for enhanced data visibility
- Support the development and optimization of various healthcare data integration solutions
