Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with Apigee (preferably Apigee Edge or Apigee Hybrid)
- Proven expertise in developing:
- API Proxies
- Apigee Policies (such as OAuth, JWT, Quota, Spike Arrest, etc.)
- Shared Flows
- Practical experience with IBM DataPower:
- MPGW / WSP services
- DataPower policies and configurations
- Background in API migration (experience with transitioning from DataPower to Apigee is highly valuable)
- Proficient in REST API design and integration
- Knowledge of API security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and mTLS
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, and XSLT
- Experience with backend integrations, including HTTP/S, SOAP, and MQ technologies
- 5 to 10 years of overall experience
- At least 3 years working with Apigee
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with IBM DataPower
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our development team to create and manage robust API proxies
- Design and implement Apigee Policies to enhance API security and functionality
- Develop and maintain shared flows to optimize API performance
- Configure and manage IBM DataPower services, including MPGW and WSP
- Assist in migrating APIs from DataPower to Apigee, ensuring a seamless transition
- Design REST APIs and ensure their successful integration within our systems
- Enforce API security measures and best practices to protect our data and services
- Work with various data formats such as XML, JSON, and XSLT
- Facilitate backend integrations using diverse protocols and technologies
