Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on AWS environments
- Previous experience with Azure resource management in Terraform is preferred
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform (preferred) or AWS CloudFormation
- Proven background in managing hybrid cloud networking (Direct Connect/VPN) and cross-cloud integrations
- Experience in regulated sectors (healthcare, finance, biotech) handling sensitive data (PHI/PII) is highly preferred
- Practical knowledge in container orchestration (EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes) and serverless computing
- Strong AWS expertise with a comprehensive understanding of key services such as S3, EC2, Auto Scaling, VPC networking, IAM, and Lambda
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go for automation
- Expertise in constructing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of encryption standards, secrets management, and least-privilege access policies
- Functional knowledge of Azure AD, Azure Functions, or Azure API Management for integration tasks
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement secure, scalable cloud architecture on AWS (S3, EC2, Batch, Lambda) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Automate storage lifecycle management and tiering policies to efficiently manage petabyte-scale pathology image archives while ensuring swift access for clinical reviews
- Construct and uphold robust CI/CD pipelines for automating testing and deployment of AI models, integration scripts, and application upgrades
- Adopt observability and reliability practices with monitoring tools to oversee system health, API latency, and data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability for clinical applications
- Facilitate secure cross-cloud networking and API connectivity between AWS and Azure-based enterprise systems, ensuring effective identity management and data integrity
- Implement security-by-design principles by administering IAM roles, encryption keys, and network security measures to maintain compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP regulations
- Oversee containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes to support adaptable AI inference and microservices that dynamically scale based on laboratory demand
