Year-Round Data Scientist Intern

- Develop and assess predictive models to estimate member growth, market potential, and branch demand - Utilize statistical and machine learning approaches to identify key factors influencing member acquisition and engagement, as well as market behavior and valuation - Assist in model validation, performance evaluation, and documentation - Analyze demographic, behavioral, and geographic member data to derive market insights - Participate in market sizing, segmentation, and opportunity assessments - Aid in the development of growth and demand forecasting methodologies - Collaborate with GIS analysts to integrate geographic attributes into predictive models - Construct spatial and demographic features for modeling and analysis - Support analyses connecting member behavior with geographic elements that inform branch strategy - Extract, clean, and consolidate large datasets from enterprise data platforms (SQL, Databricks, etc.) - Build reproducible data pipelines and datasets for modeling - Ensure maintaining data quality and thorough documentation for analytical workflows - Summarize analytical results and model outputs for both technical and non-technical audiences - Assist in creating presentations, visualizations, and analytical documentation - Translate quantitative findings into clear business implications
