Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience in migrating data to cloud environments, preferably Azure.
- Significant hands-on experience with technical project implementations, ideally in financial institutions focusing on security and investments.
- Previous practical experience as a software developer with proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
- Advanced experience in delivering substantial technical products and services within cloud environments.
- Proven hands-on capability in a Lead Engineer or Software Architect role across various technical and functional domains in medium to large-scale enterprises.
- Strong familiarity with security concepts, including security protocols and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Understanding of integration patterns.
- Experience in API design, management, and familiarity with payment requirements.
- Proficient in various development and operations framework methodologies including Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe).
- Advanced ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Extensive experience in translating business needs into clear architecture designs and artifacts.
- Significant expertise in creating business and/or technical architecture diagrams.
- Proven experience in leading design reviews and validations among diverse audiences.
- Proficient in converting architectural designs into actionable IT solutions for specific business objectives.
- Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop target solutions ensuring seamless integration of end-user technology services with other related services, maintaining consistency, scalability, and flexibility. Provide guidance to developers throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strategize and implement strong and secure technical solutions that are in line with Navy Federal objectives.
- Participate in architecture evaluations to verify the integrity and quality of proposed technical solutions.
- Identify issues and risks tied to requirements, proposed solutions, designs, implementation plans, and timelines; provide recommendations for their resolution or mitigation.
- Offer forward-thinking technical expertise and thought leadership regarding current and emerging technologies, development practices, market trends, and best practices.
- Proactively anticipate internal and external business challenges (such as Regulatory and Compliance issues) and recommend process, product, or service enhancements accordingly.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders, and external contacts such as vendors.
- Deliver overall technical leadership for Security, Channels, and Investment initiatives that are transformational in nature, encompass multiple lines of business, and involve various stakeholders within NFCU as well as software vendors.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
