You should possess the ability to swiftly adapt and prioritize high-impact tasks while understanding organizational and stakeholder needs. Collaboration with peers, management, staff, and vendors is essential, alongside strong presentation skills for conveying findings and conclusions clearly. We value initiative, result-oriented approaches, and objective achievement. Experience that demonstrates knowledge and skills in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and troubleshooting is required. Attention to detail, effective planning and organizational abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are also important. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of multitasking.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will direct and supervise teams throughout planning, development, testing, and implementation processes, focusing on technical analysis and coordination. I will leverage my expertise in FIS Core Banking Systems and deploy COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL using Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. Analyzing, researching, coding, testing, and deploying solutions are essential parts of incident resolution and post-implementation support. I will continuously seek process improvements to enhance our project portfolio and perform necessary technical research. Strong communication is key, as I will report to business stakeholders and executive management while coordinating with team members, vendors, and other organizational teams. I will also conduct peer reviews of project plans and facilitate technical guidance for my colleagues. Conducting root cause analysis to resolve recurring technical issues is part of my responsibilities, as well as ensuring compliance with our standards and building strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Description
Our TPP team is responsible for the planning, development, testing, and implementation of a critical portfolio of projects within the Service Operations Organization. The individual I hire will possess all the technical expertise related to end-of-year activities, maintenance projects, and business processes, leading and supporting technical analyses for successful project completion. While most projects will focus on the mainframe environment, the ability to manage mainframe application integrations with other systems is necessary. I expect my team members to demonstrate hands-on skills in COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL coding while also supervising the work of others. Our team is committed to continuous standardization and optimization efforts, and I encourage the organization and documentation of information to facilitate cross-training among members. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
