Requirements
Must:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or OCI)
- Basic knowledge of essential security principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- (Desired) Relevant coursework or projects related to cloud computing or cybersecurity
- (Desired) Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- (Desired) Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or DevOps methodologies
- (Desired) Familiarity with security tools
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and enhancing the security posture of cloud environments
- Support the implementation and validation of cloud security controls and best practices
- Contribute to reviewing cloud configurations for compliance with organizational policies and standards
- Engage in vulnerability management tasks
- Assist with threat detection and incident response investigations in cloud settings
- Help develop security documentation, procedures, and runbooks
- Support efforts in automation through scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Aid in the evaluation of new cloud security tools and capabilities
- Participate in security assessments, audits, and risk analysis activities
