Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in crafting technical content for federal proposals, ideally for DOE, DOD, or NASA. Experience in environmental science or environmental engineering may be considered.
- Strong grasp of government contracting and proposal development processes, preferably following the Shipley methodology or similar.
- Exceptional research, writing, and editing capabilities with a knack for presenting technical information clearly.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with proposal automation tools is a plus.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Responsibilities
- Conduct research, write, and refine technical material for proposals, ensuring clarity, adherence to guidelines, and alignment with solicitation criteria.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create persuasive narratives and key themes for winning proposals.
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitation documents to confirm that all requirements are addressed.
- Develop and enhance various proposal sections, including technical approaches, management strategies, past performance narratives, and resumes.
- Collaborate closely with the Proposal Manager, Technical Editor, and Production Specialist to adhere to deadlines and ensure high-caliber submissions.
- Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging throughout proposal documents.
- Revise and improve content based on feedback from review teams.
