Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a relevant technical, engineering, or science discipline and at least 6 years of pertinent experience; or
- Masters degree from an accredited institution in a relevant technical, engineering, or science discipline with a minimum of 4 years of pertinent experience; or
- Doctorate from an accredited institution in a relevant technical, engineering, or science discipline with a minimum of 1 year of pertinent experience; or
- Currently serving as a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at our organization.
- Proficient in development using Python and other programming languages.
- Ability to mentor peers in the management of OpenShift Kubernetes clusters, including installation, troubleshooting, security operations, and performance optimization.
- Skilled in designing and implementing DevSecOps pipelines and tools (such as GitLab CI, Tekton, Argo CD, Jenkins, Github Actions, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker/Podman, and orchestration methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Knowledge of deploying infrastructure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to aid in software development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a team to manage OpenShift clusters both on-premises and in cloud environments.
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines that incorporate DevSecOps best practices, from automatic testing to ongoing compliance.
- Spearhead the modernization of legacy applications and services into secure containerized formats.
- Recognize and implement cybersecurity protocols and requirements for diverse platforms and applications.
- Mentor fellow engineers, influence technical choices, and contribute to the strategy and roadmap of the platform.
