Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or - Masters degree in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or - Doctorate in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; - Background in control systems, particularly adaptive, nonlinear, robust, or optimal control methods; - Experience with system modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar; - Proficiency in real-time control implementation on embedded systems; - Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop testing and optimization techniques; - Familiarity with robotics, electromechanical systems, power systems, propulsion, or automation is preferred; - Understanding of machine learning or reinforcement learning in control systems is a plus;

Responsibilities

- Develop advanced feedback and feedforward control strategies for complex coupled systems; - Create and validate dynamic models, performing system identification as needed; - Lead integration of control components such as sensors and actuators; - Analyze system stability, performance, and robustness using modern control techniques; - Implement real-time control algorithms on microcontrollers or embedded platforms; - Conduct simulation, verification, and validation using MATLAB/Simulink; - Support hardware-in-the-loop testing, data collection, and controller tuning; - Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers; - Troubleshoot system behaviors to enhance control performance during testing; - Document design decisions, models, test results, and control strategies clearly;
