Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in application development within a regulated or data-driven environment focusing on complex financial systems.
- Experience with financial institutions, regulatory organizations, or exchanges is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of trade surveillance concepts, such as spoofing and market manipulation, preferred.
- Bachelors degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is advantageous.
- Proficient with Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, XML, APIs, and Azure Cloud Computing; familiarity with Dapper, Blazor, and REACT is beneficial.
- Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC), system testing, production support, and change management.
- Proven ability to collaborate with non-technical regulatory stakeholders and convert business requirements into technical designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and maintenance of applications for processing, analyzing, and storing vast amounts of market data while ensuring precision and data integrity.
- Utilize a robust understanding of financial market products, including futures, options, swaps, and trade reporting, to create scalable technical solutions based on requirements.
- Prototype and implement designs aligning with NFAs software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Improve alerting mechanisms to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Adapt applications and surveillance tools according to the evolving regulatory environment and ongoing changes.
- Participate in architectural decisions, establish technical standards, and enforce best practices throughout the application development process.
- Mentor junior developers, offering technical guidance and training on advanced initiatives and enhancements.
