Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or in software development
- At least 2 years of experience in test automation for mobile applications on Android and/or iOS, as well as Web and API
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software test automation, including developing and maintaining frameworks
- At least 2 years of API automation testing experience
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, JUnit, Selenium, and Cucumber
- Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- Proficient in writing test cases and automating tests using Java frameworks such as JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Appium
- Experience with ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow or Jira
- Practical experience with cloud technology platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
- Strong skills in Selenium scripting and SQL querying
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms
- Excellent debugging capabilities
- Proficient in Java programming
- Ability to write functional automation tests for UI and API
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of pull requests and code review processes
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve automation issues in testing and deployment environments
- Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to automate acceptance criteria
- Apply agile development practices, engaging with teams that follow the Sprint/Scrum methodology
- Analyze project documentation, customer needs, and product goals to develop and execute test cases
- Conduct testing of complex API, web, and mobile applications that connect to back-end databases
- Address non-functional requirements, such as performance testing
- Establish, manage, and execute test automation frameworks across various application platforms including Mobile, Desktop, and Web
- Engage in all agile ceremonies (standups, planning, backlog refinement, reviews, etc.) to ensure quality assurance is prioritized
- Own the complete test strategy, analyze requirements, create test plans, design test cases, and implement automation for moderately complex applications
- Ensure high quality is maintained prior to production release
- Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts to fulfill software release criteria and quality standards
- Create smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites for UI, API services, and databases
- Execute manual test cases to identify issues that automated methods may overlook when necessary
- Design user-focused automation testing processes for new and existing product developments
- Utilize extensive knowledge of software testing and delivery to build and uphold automated test harnesses and suites using scripting languages and popular tools
- Proactively suggest improvements in automation engineering practices to senior management
