Requirements
Must:
- Extensive background in developing Salesforce integrations (Apex callouts, asynchronous processing, custom objects), beyond mere UI or administrative tasks.
- Proficient with central middleware solutions (e.g., Boomi) and collaborating with a middleware engineer rather than creating direct point-to-point integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of REST APIs including inbound and outbound capabilities, authentication methods, payload structuring, and error management.
- Ability to distinguish and articulate the differences between real-time and batch processing based on business implications and performance metrics.
- Experience in managing external IDs/foreign keys and facilitating bidirectional data synchronization across various systems.
- Capable of working autonomously on integration tasks while maintaining close coordination with the Salesforce leader, product owner, and Boomi engineer.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Salesforce integrations, ensuring high-performance outputs and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with middleware engineers to implement optimal integration solutions using tools like Boomi.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs, focusing on seamless data flow between systems and robust error handling.
- Assess and recommend whether processes should be managed in real-time or through batch processes, considering overall business impact.
- Oversee the management of data synchronization, ensuring accuracy and reliability across multiple platforms.
- Work independently while actively engaging with team members to align integration efforts with project goals.
