Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining enterprise GIS systems (both PROD and DEV)/n- Comprehensive system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux/n- Proficiency with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)/n- Experience with Esri software such as ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal for ArcGIS along with their related APIs or interfaces/n- Basic knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#)/n- Understanding of network concepts (e.g., domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)/n- Awareness of authentication concepts (e.g., SAML, Web Tier, OIDC)/n- Familiarity with cloud-based system operations (SysOps)/n- Active TS US Security Clearance/n- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field/n- **Recommended Qualifications**/n- Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field/n- One or more industry-recognized IT certifications (e.g., Esri, CompTIA, Microsoft, Amazon)/n- Experience with additional Esri software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Notebook Server, ArcGIS Monitor, and their respective APIs or interfaces
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support backend services for enterprise-level GIS applications/n- Work collaboratively with frontend developers, QA, business analysts, and architects to provide spatial-data-driven functionalities/n- Adhere to secure coding practices and compliance standards when managing spatial data and backend services
Description
We are seeking a GIS Backend Developer to join our team in Washington, DC, where you will work onsite five days a week. This position is a long-term contract role requiring a Top Secret security clearance. We offer competitive compensation of $70 an hour on a W2 basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with cross-functional teams while contributing to the development and maintenance of sophisticated GIS applications.
