Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Over 15 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, space system acquisition, or similar engineering fields
- Proven expertise in system development, integration, test planning, and risk management
- Experience in supporting program management duties, including program development, execution, and evaluation of cost, schedule, and performance
- Demonstrated success in preparing and presenting professional reports, technical documentation, and executive briefings
- Strong analytical abilities to present findings, recommendations, and solutions under tight deadlines
- Capability to drive actions to completion, focusing on timely delivery of capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with leadership
- Experience in coordinating multi-agency technical development and R&D initiatives
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (required)
- Masters degree in a related field (preferred)
- PMP certification (preferred)
- DoD Acquisition or Systems Engineering certifications (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Direct systems engineering efforts throughout the design, development, integration, and testing of space systems
- Engage with stakeholders to outline requirements, craft system specifications, and ensure alignment with mission objectives
- Create and implement detailed system and test plans in collaboration with the user community
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and programmatic risks to ensure achievement of cost, schedule, and performance goals
- Offer technical and analytical guidance to enhance system performance and minimize life-cycle costs
- Assist in program management functions, encompassing cost, schedule, and risk tracking, project planning, and execution oversight
- Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and high-level briefings to senior leadership and mission partners
- Foster cross-domain integration activities in air, space, and cyberspace to support multi-agency collaboration and technical development initiatives
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and focal point for integration of specialized capabilities and new technologies
- Participate in research and development projects by assessing technologies at various readiness levels for inclusion in current and future initiatives
