Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree required
- Over 7 years of professional experience in acquisition management support
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes for National Security Systems and Defense Business Systems
- Experience supporting Navy acquisition programs or similar DoD agency programs
- DAWIA Level III Certification in Program Management or a comparable certification (e.g., PMP)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Willingness to learn and apply project management concepts to assigned tasks
Responsibilities
- Offer recommendations for life cycle support migration strategies
- Conduct technical reviews of projects
- Manage annual reporting schedule for all acquisition-related reports (DAMIR, RDAIS, MAIS)
- Develop, maintain, and update acquisition documentation and milestone decision materials
- Facilitate routing and approval processes, including GATE Review briefs and Configuration Steering Board evaluations
- Implement and oversee a Risk Management Program
- Provide support for Risk Review Boards and keep the Risk Watch List current
- Organize and deliver Risk Management training sessions
- Create various acquisition documents including the Initial Capabilities Document, Capability Development Document, and Acquisition Strategy Plan
- Compile deliverables such as reports, presentations, and visuals for assigned initiatives
- Monitor project performance against established plans to meet cost, performance, and schedule targets
- Analyze programmatic challenges and suggest innovative solutions
- Formulate program plans that align with cost, schedule, and performance objectives
