Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance
- 5-7 years of experience in network administration, particularly with networking hardware, including maintenance and upgrades; knowledge of NIST Special Publications 800-37, 800-53, and 800-53A
- Extensive experience with enterprise network management and monitoring tools (e.g., CiscoWorks, NetView, InfoVista, NetCool, Riverbed, SecureCRT, Chimera, Schnozz)
- Familiarity with wireless technologies and protocols (802.11 b/g/n) and authentication methods (EAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS)
- Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including:
- Cisco ASA 5500 Series firewalls
- Cisco 3000/4000/5000/6000 series routers and multilayer switches
- Juniper switches
- Cisco Unified IP Phones and VoIP systems
- Network encryption devices
- Strong comprehension of networking protocols, services, and enterprise architectures
- Capability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in developing technical documentation and system design artifacts
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to structured schedules and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment
- Outstanding customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- IT I level certification in accordance with AR 25-2 and IAT II certification per DoD 8570.01-M
- Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training
- Preferred: CCNA, CCNP
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage network engineering tasks, ensuring projects adhere to timelines and approved processes
- Supervise Network Engineering team members, including approving time cards and overseeing daily activities
- Participate in weekly and monthly status meetings while assisting the Site Lead with Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) and Quarterly IPRs
- Implement and uphold technical standards and security policies for LAN/CAN environments, while identifying and fixing vulnerabilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, encryption devices, and VoIP systems
- Provide LAN/CAN support, address troubleshooting, repairs, and assist with end-user network connectivity issues
- Support VPN endpoints and wireless technologies as needed
- Monitor network performance utilizing enterprise management tools, analyze activity, perform fault isolation, and ensure high availability
- Generate reports on network utilization and performance
- Assist with RMF/accreditation activities, including STIG compliance, eMASS documentation, POA&M updates, and related artifacts
- Oversee network configuration and capacity planning processes
- Develop, maintain, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
- Collaborate with network architects, system integration teams, and stakeholders to enhance performance and reliability
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and deliver excellent customer service.
