Information Assurance Lead Engineer

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience considered - Over 7 years of relevant Information Assurance experience with RMF IT security controls and policies preferred - Must hold and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and IAT-II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M - Proven experience in assurance roles including certification, accreditation, security testing, and operations - Minimum of 3 years in the IT field with familiarity in NIST Special Publications 800-37, 800-53, and 800-53A - Basic understanding of networking components and various operating systems in cloud environments; familiarity with UNIX and Microsoft is a plus - Knowledge of additional security frameworks (ISO, NIST, COBIT, HIPAA/HITECH) and regulatory standards is advantageous - Experience with public key infrastructure and encryption systems is desirable - Background in incident response teams is beneficial - Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and security procedures is ideal - Experience in CMMI Level 3 (or higher) settings is a plus - Strong organizational and prioritization skills - Ability to effectively communicate complex information simply - Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities - Self-motivated with minimal supervision required - Proactive in identifying and preventing issues instead of reacting to them - Strong verbal and written communication skills
