Requirements
Must:
- Must hold and maintain an IT I level certification in accordance with AR 25-2 and an IAT-II certification per DoD 8570.01-M
- Five to seven years of relevant experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in coding, debugging, testing, configuration, and analysis to develop or modify application programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current Asset and Service Management software (e.g., Remedy ITSM, HP OpenView AssetCenter)
- Familiarity with Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL), as well as Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio .Net, and object-oriented programming languages
- Strong command of C# and JavaScript for troubleshooting existing applications
- Experience with Visual Basic
- Excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and on-site, with the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under time constraints
- Capability to communicate complex system analysis concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of automation functions and infrastructure compatibility matters
Responsibilities
- Create and develop applications using various programming languages, tools, and techniques
- Design and implement user interface features, website animations, and special effects to enhance the visual aspects of our offerings
- Structure applications to align with the organizations communication strategies and objectives
- Manage existing Asset and Service Management applications utilizing standard tools and custom scripts
- Develop and oversee Microsoft Reporting Services and Crystal Reports as requested by management using AC/SM databases
- Construct and maintain a custom Ruby on Rails asset management website
- Draft and update standard operating procedure (SOP) documents relevant to functional categories
- Build applications that support enterprise needs, including data models, databases, and comprehensive user interfaces
- Plan and execute testing phases, including preparing test data, identifying and rectifying errors, and retesting applications before deployment
- Prepare, update, and distribute manuals for end-users and system operators, outlining product designs and procedural information
- Advise on automating functionalities and integrating needs with existing systems and operational resources
- Maintain thorough knowledge of technical documentation and system design principles
