Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of PLL architectures (Analog, Digital, Fractional-N, LC, Ring VCOs) and feedback loop dynamics
- Familiarity with high-speed I/O testing, test hardware design, and signal integrity
- Experience with Advantest 9300 platform, high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers
- Proficiency in Java and C++ for automating test equipment
- Background in analog/mixed-signal validation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design, systems, and product engineering teams to oversee silicon from initial testing to mass production
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on, post-silicon testing and validation of high-speed I/Os, PLLs, and associated IP components (VCOs, charge pumps, dividers)
- Characterize and enhance performance metrics such as TX eye openings, RX jitter tolerance, phase noise, jitter measurements, lock time, frequency range, PSRR, and power consumption
- Develop ATE programs on the Advantest 93000 platform to streamline measurements; design PCBs and utilize bench equipment as required
- Analyze extensive datasets and relay significant findings to the PLL development team
- Collaborate with DFT to ensure precise test modes are integrated during the chip development stage and support ATE vector generation
- Troubleshoot and resolve silicon bugs, PVT marginalities, and noise coupling challenges
- Correlate ATE measurements with simulation and bench test results
- Create detailed characterization reports, test plans, and documentation for design validation and production teams
