Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as security management, criminal justice, or a related discipline preferred.
- Associates degree in a related field with relevant experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of seven (7) years in safety and security, with experience from law enforcement, military, or security forces.
- At least three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in conducting investigations and report writing.
- Experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous.
- Active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) required, to be obtained within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Knowledge of physical security technologies (access control, CCTV, digital video surveillance).
- Familiar with regulatory requirements like SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication capabilities for conveying complex security concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security-related software.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills; must be comfortable in a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily security operations at the data center, including physical security, access control, and video surveillance.
- Manage a team of Site Supervisors and their supporting Security Officers.
- Collaborate with Site Supervisors to ensure appropriate workforce coverage.
- Respond to emergencies during weekends and after-hours.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of Site Supervisors to ensure adherence to policies.
- Carry out risk assessments and formulate mitigation strategies for potential threats.
- Administer all onsite security operations to meet safety standards for personnel and property.
- Perform security audits and inspections for compliance with policies.
- Lead security awareness training for data center staff and manage training logistics.
- Work with various departments to support critical data center systems.
- Develop and execute actions to prevent security incidents.
- Review and approve incident reports, and conduct internal investigations.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders, including law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
- Handle budgeting for data center security operations.
- Ensure security manuals are current and properly maintained.
- Act as the primary contact for local and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs.
- Oversee installation and operation of security systems and related equipment.
- Organize emergency response actions, including first aid when necessary.
- Adhere to and model company dress code and uniform standards.
