Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in lighting, electrical, technical, and/or mechanical fields preferred.
- Familiarity with AGI32 and lighting layouts is beneficial.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting within an office environment.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an office setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with a proactive and innovative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively and professionally with team members, customers, and sales representatives.
- Dependable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Capacity to quickly learn part numbers and technical specifications for Nora Lighting products.
- Technical proficiency in accurately reading and referencing product specifications.
- Strong organizational skills to manage and address customer requests promptly.
- Ability to handle high call volumes efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries through calls and emails regarding technical (mechanical/electrical) issues on products.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and other departments.
- Provide exemplary verbal and written communication and customer service.
- Verify and replace products under warranty.
- Differentiate between customer service inquiries and technical support requests effectively.
- Confirm products are UL/ETL Listed, Energy Star, DLC, and T24 certified.
- Offer general and advanced troubleshooting support to customers.
- Travel to job sites for troubleshooting as needed.
- Diagnose root causes of issues to resolve customer problems.
- Manage Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs).
- Prepare and present technical or test reports to customers.
- Provide solutions to both customers and sales representatives.
- Read and understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
- Gain familiarity with all wiring diagrams and installation protocols.
- Assist with the installation and wiring of dimmers and lighting fixtures.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and across departments.
- Participate in cross-training in other areas as necessary.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Nora Lighting products to suggest alternatives when suitable.
- Train and guide team members on new information and procedures.
- Develop a quick understanding of product features, part numbers, and unique identifiers.
- Perform on-site replacements when necessary.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
