Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in technical support methodologies with a solid grasp of computer hardware and software
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and its various applications
- Understanding of computer networking principles and protocols
- Previous experience in IT support roles, particularly in desktop support
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues
- Capability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is highly desirable
- Familiarity with help desk software like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Autotask is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance for hardware and software concerns across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer management, desktop support, and IT infrastructure
- Assist users with VPN connectivity, firewall settings, and LAN troubleshooting
- Employ help desk tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Autotask to manage support tickets effectively
- Perform software troubleshooting to quickly resolve application-related challenges
- Ensure clear and proactive communication with customers regarding the status of their inquiries
- Collaborate with team members to improve the overall customer service experience
- Create documentation of solutions and contribute to knowledge base articles for future reference
Description
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Specialist to join our vibrant team. In this position, you will deliver outstanding technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems function efficiently. We offer a full-time role with competitive pay ranging from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, complemented by benefits including a 401(k) with matching, health and life insurance, paid time off, a retirement plan, and vision insurance. Please note that this position requires you to work in our Newark, DE office five days a week.
