Requirements
Must:
We require a proven background as a Network Engineer or a comparable position in IT networking. You should possess strong knowledge of IP networking principles and protocols, along with familiarity with Cisco IOS. Experience with DHCP configuration and management is essential, along with a solid understanding of network security standards. Proficiency with monitoring tools like PRTG for assessing performance is necessary, and knowledge in QoS techniques for managing bandwidth effectively is preferred. Experience with APIs for system integration would be an advantage. We seek strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will need you to design, implement, and manage network solutions that align with our organizational demands. You'll monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like PRTG. Configuring and maintaining DHCP services for efficient IP address management will be part of your responsibilities. I will depend on you to enhance network security through best practices and ongoing vulnerability assessments. You will also develop and maintain documentation concerning network configurations, policies, and procedures. Optimizing Quality of Service (QoS) settings to prioritize critical applications and performing regular updates and maintenance on operating systems, including Cisco, Fortinet, and HP, is expected. I also encourage you to utilize shell scripting for automating routine tasks and processes and to stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the industry to suggest improvements.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $115,000. Our benefits package includes a 401(k) plan with matching, dental insurance, flexible scheduling, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. Before applying, please note that applicants must reside in Delaware or within 25 miles of the border. Relevant experience includes a minimum of 3 years in Cisco networking and at least 2 years with Fortinet; experience with Juniper is preferred. While a CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. The work location is hybrid remote in Newark, DE 19702, and commuting to Newark, DE 19702 is required.
