Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in creating and deploying full-stack Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) utilizing React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS/Tailwind, Express.js/Node.js, Docker, and PostgreSQL.
- At least two years of programming experience, including academic coursework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Experience managing complex codebases while adhering to coding best practices.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and scale full-stack systems for the ROOTS database and web application.
- Design user flows based on specified requirements.
- Write clean, well-tested code to ensure quality and performance.
- Document user requirements and create user stories for clarity.
- Record design decisions, deployment guides, and instructions for application usage.
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Description
We are the Christmas Tree Genetics Lab within the College of Natural Resources, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are looking for a temporary Full Stack Software Engineer for a four-month engagement with the potential for extension.
