Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident
- A bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 2-5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in controls (preferably in the automotive sector)
- Proficient in embedded systems application and testing
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and programming languages including C, C++, and Python
- Familiarity with CANbus, Serial, and Ethernet communications
- Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics with a solid understanding of electrical fundamentals
- Must obtain and maintain the required employee license from the Texas Railroad Commission within 90 days of hire
- Valid drivers license with an insurable driving history
Responsibilities
- Design and refine electronic controls (both open and closed loop) for fuel delivery and storage systems applicable to Cummins natural gas engines
- Investigate and resolve technical issues while documenting outcomes with the support of senior team members
- Enhance electronic controls development processes, including system specifications, modeling, simulation, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Translate customer needs into functional requirements for control algorithms, develop relevant tests, and ensure algorithm performance meets specifications
- Contribute to design decisions in electronic and electrical controls, ensuring high-quality and efficient performance of products
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, establishing oneself as a specialist within the team
