Requirements
Must:
- Microsoft, Security+, or other industry certifications preferred.
- College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. EPIC Security certification or certification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Minimum of one year in IT and/or IT security preferred. At least one year in a support role is desirable. Previous experience in a security role is preferred.
- Knowledge of information security fundamentals, software tools, and security principles.
- Experience analyzing audit logs and implementing or recommending corrective actions.
- Familiarity with IP networks and operating systems, including Microsoft and Linux.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude, embrace feedback, and appreciate colleagues, patients, partners, and customers consistently.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork, share information, communicate promptly on all deliverables, and collaborate to resolve issues.
- Take ownership of issues, ensure accuracy in communications, complete tasks within set timelines, and manage customer communications reliably.
- Actively monitor assigned tickets, document activities thoroughly, and address issues within established service levels.
- Provide requested information to support user access audits.
- Participate in discussions for developing training materials.
- Meet or exceed metrics related to user access assignments.
- Engage in incident investigations as needed.
- Assist in analyzing data and information for external audits, penetration tests, and other assessments.
- Support security assessment activities, including vulnerability scanning and security control testing as required.
- Analyze and document vulnerabilities within information systems (software, hardware, and networks).
- Review, analyze, and manage security alerts, escalating as necessary.
- Monitor perimeter IT security systems and various security services, including antivirus and access management.
