Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or associates degree in information/computer technology, business systems, business administration, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree.
- 10 years of relevant experience with an associates degree.
- 12 years of relevant experience without a degree or an applicable degree.
- Experience must align with business systems analysis and/or IT process management with progressively more technical or strategic responsibilities.
- At least 5 years of experience in roles focused on IT service management, process re-engineering, or leading ITSM initiatives.
- ITIL 4 Foundation and ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS) certifications are mandatory.
- Expert-level understanding of the ITIL 4 framework, its guiding principles, and the service value system, with the ability to articulate key differences from ITIL v3.
- Proven hands-on experience in leading or facilitating ITSM transformations, service catalog development, or similar process re-engineering efforts.
- Strong capability to lead workshops, train technical teams, and foster collaboration while guiding teams through changes.
- Excellent technical writing skills and experience in developing process documentation, business cases, and functional specifications.
- Ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and persuasively to both technical and managerial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support the implementation of a strategic framework for the Service Delivery Modernization initiative, ensuring it aligns with our organizational objectives.
- Act as a counselor to leadership, offering insights on team preparedness, potential challenges to adoption, and strategies to address any concerns or resistance.
- Carry out thorough change impact assessments to determine how new service-oriented processes will influence roles, workflows, and team objectives, and present findings to leadership.
- Identify groups likely to be significantly affected by changes and propose tailored support and readiness strategies to meet their specific challenges.
- Formulate preliminary risk mitigation strategies and offer anticipatory solutions to possible resistance or adoption issues.
- Suggest clear, measurable objectives for successful service modernization, including draft stages and milestones for management review and approval.
- Organize and lead hands-on workshops, group meetings, and interviews with IT teams to define and document existing business processes, challenges, and user experiences.
- Instruct IT teams on applying ITIL 4 principles in their daily tasks through targeted training sessions and coaching.
- Support IT teams in creating detailed business process models and documentation for new service-oriented workflows.
- Develop and refine preliminary service design frameworks, process maps, and request models that are scalable and adaptable for enterprise-wide use.
- Assist IT staff in defining an applications portfolio of dependent services and technical requirements while clarifying the relationship between the application and its technical services.
- Examine and evaluate service designs produced by IT teams, offering expert feedback and recommendations to ensure alignment with the established framework and maintain consistent quality.
- Identify performance measures or indicators for services and recommend actions for improvement or correction relative to service objectives.
- Conduct regular consultations with stakeholders, including team leads, system users, and other IT teams, to collect input on service design and performance.
